Layered Paper Effect
This creates a layered paper effect, with just a little help with the use a few drop shadows. I chose a color and created a random shape. Then making copies and layering then on top of each other. Every copy made, just has an adjusted shade to the hue that was used in the original shape. Another way to do this without adjusting each shape on by on is using the blend tool, you would only have to create the largest shape and the smallest shape and blend them. Then you specify the steps, and expand the image. here are the instructions.
1. Create an image of your choice, you can also choose 2 shapes and use the blend tool.
1a. If you use the blend tool got to Blend Options>Specified Steps>(Choose Lower #)>Expand.
2. Once you have a final design, go to Pathfinder>Divide>Ungroup.
3. Go to Effects> Stylize>Drop Shadow>Modify as needed.
4. Rearrange the layers by bring the layers from the top to the bottom.
