Lettering the Experience
The Typefaces
For Amore Amor, the type faces I chose emulated the look and feel that I want to convey for this restaurant. The logo is a play on Adobe's Grafolitas Script, with the swirls and cursive feel. Very romantic and easy to read.
Main Typeface
My secondary typeface is Mokoko, which in my opinion complimented the Grafolitas typeface. I didn't want to choose anything cursive or any hand lettering because I wanted there to be some formality to the menus, business cards, and letterheads. I felt another cursive would just be too busy.
I did choose a third typeface just to have some variety and give myself a little bit of options when it came to the other designs for this class especially creating a menu. Apparat is a sans serif that just fit well when I was creating my business card and I wanted to keep it in the vault.
