Audio Mix Like A Pro

 Audio Editing

With Premiere Pro, you can create videos look and sound very professional. When you have a basic understanding of synchronizing your audio, using auto- level, enhance speech, and remixing can set your work apart.

When you have audio that was recorded off camera and in camera you can sync them by selecting both the video and audio, then right clicking to select "merge clips" which will automatically sync your video audio to your second sound source.

Auto leveling is extremely important for any video you are working on. You don't want to have obnoxious background noise, or some clips that are extremely quiet and then jumps to the loudest screams in your face. First you want to make sure you are working in the Essential Sound workspace. Then you will select the audio you want to level, once selected you will go to your essential sounds next to the properties panel and scroll down to loudness. Click auto match, this will make sure your clips you selected will remain at a consistent volume.

To enhance speech you can click the audio you want to work on and then in your sound essentials scroll to the dialog button. There will be a dialog button on your sound which you will click that and in your panel there will be a slider you can use to reduce any background noise to clean up that speech.

Lastly, adding audio to your videos will enhance your content. When you go to your essential sounds panel, there is a Browse Tab. There you can find some adobe stock music, that you can choose for your video. And if you enable ducking, this actually makes the background music lower when your audio starts or if your subject starts talking.
