We're Not Really Strangers
For this week, I decided to pull a card from this game I have collecting dust in my room.
Just a little intro is this game was created to make people open up with others, weather you play with friends, family, partners or strangers. There are different levels/stages through the game where each question gets deeper and deeper. What I did was pull a card at random and, answer the question completely and honestly.
Here is the card I pulled:
This card picked my brain, especially because these questions have been haunting me since I am close to the end of this program. I know this is not the most "creative exercise", but it really made me think about where I want to be. I tried to block out the stressors and really picture myself where I would want to be, who that would be with, and what I would be doing.
Here are my short answers
1. I would be with my kitties, because there is no one I really see in my life I would want to spend my time with..
2. I see myself in a city, I'm between Chicago or New York, but I am enjoy my peace amongst the chaos of the city.
3. I would be in my favorite coffee shop finishing up a T-shirt design for my website, and drinking a chai tea.
When I did this challenge I wrote it out on paper and went more in depth on each question. But I learned that sometimes you have to really pretend or picture yourself in a different space, time, and life. You have to be able to really see yourself in a new place, what do you see, smell, hear? How do you feel? What are you doing to do next?
This would be a great exercise when you are creating a setting or a character for a book, comic, or even a cartoon.
