Creativity Blog Week 3

I tend to love doing writing projects, and of course searching Pinterest for different creative challenges. This week I found a list of poetry prompts, so naturally I had to create some poems from what I found. 

Number 8 stood out to me. Before I found the prompts, I went to Adobe Express and created a canvas to place my poem. So once I found the prompt I began to type out what came to me. At first I tried to keep making the poem rhyme but then I reminded myself that not all poems have to do that. So I continued to type. 

This is what I came up with...

I know the type might be hare to read so here is the actual poem : 

Burnt By the Fire in your Eyes

 

There is so much to say.. 

Was it, the sparkle in your eyes 

Or the light in your smile? 

The closer we were the warmer it got 

There was never a doubt I was seen 

The love in your eyes, started to fade, 

your arms were so safe until you took them away 

Now I reminisce the memories we shared,

but only so much because it starts to hurt 

the healing burn that you left for me.. 

But that is my fault for playing 

with Fire...
