One-Minute Obstacle
Goal: Boost your adaptability and creative problem-solving speed.
How it works:
Imagine you’re in a completely made-up situation (e.g., you’re trapped in a room with only a chair and a mirror). You have 60 seconds to mentally come up with a way to escape using only what’s in the room.
What it encourages:
Improv-style ideation
Adaptability and urgency
Using limited resources creatively
The Situation:
The Library Window
You're stuck in a second-floor library. The door is chained shut. There’s one large window, a ladder, and a cart full of books.
Taking books off the cart. Smashing the window with the cart. throwing books out the window in a stack. Taking the ladder to the stack, that should get me enough space to climb. Once I'm at the bottom I will jump off and be free!
